Academic Empowerment
Why matter: Over 60% of youth in rural areas fail to complete secondary education due to financial constraints and lack of educational resources (Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, 2024).
Our objective: To enhance academic performance for at-risk youth through tailored education programs
Our activities: Implementing educational workshops, field trips, mentorship programs,
and educational resources, including books to enhance academic performance.

Youth Civic Leadership Development
Why matter: Only 22% of youth are actively involved in community leadership or civic
activities, reflecting a need for enhanced programs to foster engagement (UNDP, 2023).
Our objective: To foster civic engagement and leadership skills among the youth.
Our activities: (1) Conducting civic leadership training sessions to instill essential skills
and qualities in youth; and (2) Facilitating community engagement projects to nurture
youth leadership abilities.

Entrepreneurship Training and Support
Why matter: The unemployment rate among youth stands at 38%, exacerbated by insufficient skills training and job opportunities (World Bank, 2024).
Our objectives: To cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, skills and provide resource for youth to start sustainable ventures and create jobs in their communities.
Our activities: (1) Offering workshops on business fundamentals, financial literacy, and practical entrepreneurial skills; and (2) Providing seed funding and mentorship from
successful entrepreneurs to guide and inspire participants.
Youth Beneficiaries Recruitment Criteria:
Youth are identified through community partnerships, schools, outreach programs, and our social media platforms like (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok). We consider age, socio-economic factors, academic performance, and commitment to personal development. We prioritize diversity and inclusivity, ensuring representation from all the 42 tribes of Kenya. That said, to be eligible for the 42 Change Makers program, candidates must
Be within the age of 15-24 committed to personal growth, resilience and desire to contribute positively to their communities.
Demonstrate that they face socio-economic and education challenges that place them at-risk
We will also give seed funding to support youth-led social enterprises/initiatives. We will use a well defined funding decision criteria to ensure the effectiveness, transparency and sustainability of the seed fund.

Equipped grade 8 and grade 12 students with examination strategies and college career readiness information.
